General Help

'56 History Button:
Occasionally you will see an Hungarian Flag button appear on the control bar. Click on this to see real video, newspaper transcripts and photographs relevant to the events in the graphic novel.

Character points:
Each character has hit points (HPts) and experience points (Aim, Driving, Persuasion, and Toughness). See below for a description a both.

Clickable items:
Certain items and images in the graphic novel can be clicked on for historical information. Some of these can be collected into your inventory.

Experience Points:
Each character has a different set of experience points to start with. Characters earn experience points by successful combat, persuasion, etc. A higher level of experience points increases a character's effectiveness in the combat and persuasion challenges.

FFF:
On the control bar you can view your Freedom Fighter Factor score. Points are earned through experience, successful persuasions, exploration and bravery. Getting injured in combat and failing to persuade others will reduce your FFF.

HPts:
Hit points are a reflection of the character's health. If a character is injured their HPts value will decrease. If it reaches zero they are killed. One strategy is to switch characters during a game so that no one character gets too many hits. They are restored to health over time.

Inventory items:
Inventory items become the basis for persuasion challenges. Additional information about each item's historical significance is available by clicking on the info button in the inventory scroll list
